Hello Geoserver Developers,
I am requesting commit access to the Geoserver documentation so that I can make small but important additions to existing pages that will save other people some of the hours that I have sometimes spent finding out that one vital detail to make something work.
I am probably known by some of you, as I am involved the CSIRO Auscope project. We are hoping to have a test Geoserver facing the Internet in a few weeks as part of that project.
We also have a business relationship with LisaSoft, and I recently attended a Geoserver course run by Jim Groffen - and met one or two of you at FOSS4G 2009.

Hey David, documentation contributions would be really great. I think we should follow the same process as we do with code commit rights, which is that you make at least one or two small changes and submit them as patches[1] to JIRA issues[2]. Those get reviewed by someone who does docs just so we know you’re work a bit before giving you free reign. Should be quite easy, and after that we’ll get you commit rights. Or if you’ve already done some like that then just point to the jiras. Then it’s 3 +1’s from current committers.
best regards,
Chris
