[Geoserver-devel] Request to add a new community module: wps-sextante

Hi,
I would like to add a new community module, wps-sextante, that
will contain the bindings towards the Sextante library.

At the moment the classes are available inside the wps module
but I'm having trouble following up the sextante development
and I'd prefer to concentrate on the core of wps instead.

Having separte module would also allow anybody installing wps
to just have their custom processes instead of the truckload
of processes Sextante offers.

Opinions?

Cheers
Andrea

Good idea IMO.
The wps core needs a lot of development and actually I don’t see anything requiring to take sextante aligned there … moreover they are community modules, so …

In related news, I just added a wps process factory to the scriptlet
extension. A couple of example scripts are in SVN now:
http://svn.codehaus.org/geoserver/trunk/src/community/scriptlet/src/examples/processes/

If you want to try it out, process scripts are scanned from
<DATADIR>/scripts/processes/*.js. They just need to define a metadata
object with title, description, inputs, and outputs (see examples for
details).
