Sorry for the delay, busy week... plus confluence being down is making it a pain to look at the road map :).
That said, this week it was mostly about pushing features currently scheduled for 1.7.4 back due to lack of time/sponsorship.
The following pushed back to 2.x:
* GEOS-2584, choice of color reduction, Andrea
* GEOS-2498, Integrate GeoExt based styler
The following pushed back to 1.7.x:
* GEOS-2605, GetCapabilities response for gwc
* GEOS-2514, GWC WMS tiling integration
The following issues are in question, currently assigned to Simone. Simone if you could comment that would be great.
* GEOS-2712, Let people configure simple mosaics transparently from the UI
* GEOS-1162, Support custom raster legends via GetLegendGraphic

Geos-2712 is on its way, actually with a few more features like
capability to set background values, and bug fixes.
