[Geoserver-devel] round up of features/docs for beta announcement

Having a bit of fun finding good documentation links for features announced in beta:

  • GEOS-3922 Expose feature type filtering option (this sounds good are there docs? how to do it …)
  • Does for shape symbols not cover recent addition of extshape://arrow
  • Community docs do not cover GeoFence (which is a shame)

Nope, it was documented in GeoTools:

We need to find a better way to document stuff only once, having to keep
two sets of
doc in synch with the same contents is madness

went over it, added links to existing docs where possible, scanned a bit
gt/gs jira and closed
tickets that were still open, but with a commit/pull request in, added some
new features
as a result

perhaps you should also mention the possibility to upload app-schema mapping configurations via the REST API?

There are also docs for it:

It is marked as an improvement in JIRA.
