Hey could someone on this list please give me a sanity check with rc1?
I think I've just made a resolution to never try a release with anything
less than a 20k/sec consistent connection. My 0.8-2k just isn't cutting
it because it's impossible for me to test any where near what I normally
do. Uploading 30 or so megs is too painful, so I've uploading from my
linux box in nyc. Which allows me to work with cvs a lot faster and
upload a lot faster, but moving around and working with the web interface
there is really slow. So I think I got things uploaded, but now I'm
downloaing from sf with 1.3 hour remaining, for the war, the smaller of
the downloads. I'm slightly worried it may have somehow missed your
latest changes Jody and Richard, but I could not figure out, it seemed to
work on some containers and not on others, but it's too painful for me to
really investigate. So download the war and the source, and if they don't
work then upload ones that do. I'll tag the release with what I put up
there, so you can just move the tags forward. It's just far too slow for
me to work on it, and I meant to get this release out two days ago because
there's tons of stuff I need to do. So if people could get back to me
soon with a sanity check that sf works that'd be really helpful. If I
messed something major up I can try to squeeze in another release before I
leave.
The release should be up on source forge. I think we might just go with
.zips this time, due to my bandwidth constraints and the fact that linux
can use .zip easily, and they have been the more popular downloads.
thanks for your help and patience
Chris
