For clarification:
Modifying the docu of geotools is done in the old wiki ?
If I add functionality to geoserver 2.0.x and trunk, I have to change the sphinx docu in both branches, is this right ?

I don't know about GeoTools, but for GeoServer, if documentation is relevant to both the 2.0.x branch and trunk, please add it to both. Thanks for contributing!

Download Intel® Parallel Studio Eval
Try the new software tools for yourself. Speed compiling, find bugs
proactively, and fine-tune applications for parallel performance.
See why Intel Parallel Studio got high marks during beta.

There is some GT2 docs in sphinx as well, but they are mostly
tutorials and the main pages.
Not sure if we ever decided to move away from the wiki for
module documentation as well.
I would not be against, but it's the kind of decision
the GeoTools PMC should take

The wiki is the documentation for GeoTools; we have not adopted or migrated anything to Sphinx. If Sphinx is proving better for geoserver perhaps you would like to make a recommendation? Personally I would start with migrating the developers guide.

I believe so.
