Hi ,
I want to add a custom dimension on the single raster image based on the pixel value of the raster. As we can do the same stuff with image mosaic but in the current situation i want to do the same with a single raster image.

Hi Muhammad,
dimension based on pixel values is currently not supported. It should be possible to change the GeoServer
source code to also support that use case, but mind, it’s not a trivial task
Best regards

Good point Asif, thanks to bring this to my attention.
Thank you Andrea for your prompt reply,
it’s actually interesting, looks like an easy and almost standardized way to interact with a layer no matter if it’s a mosaic or a geotiff, having the possibility to set a dimension over bands or color table looks easier and more reusable then prepare parametrized styles.
Sometime, especially when publishers are not IT, preprocessing images splitting bans or prepare complexes style is not an option.
Thanks also for an evaluation on the do-ability of this.
Let’s see if it could be of any interest to someone else.
Best,
Carlo
