Contact Chris HolmesTileCache is a great little piece of software designed to cache WMS servers like GeoServer. We love it, but it's a pain for our users to install since it requires python and a whole different configuration system. We would like to build it as a module in GeoServer, included by default and easily configured through the web GUI. Having it in Java will lead to additional advantages, like being able to plug in to better caches like JBoss Cache and OSCache, working with our KML output for nice super-overlays, and hooking up to our transaction engine to automatically expire the cache when users make modifications to their data.
