Hi,
today I run GeoServer trunk with the new skin and, well,
colors and graphics look real good
At the same time, everything is pretty cramped in a corner
of my screen... ouch! Wouldn't it be better to have the
central bar expand to occupy a (largish)
percentage of the screen?
Reduced screenshot attached (screen is 1680x1050, original
size would be been too big).
Also, but mind, this is just my persona observation, the
green background of alternating lines seem to be
a little dark? The blue color of the links does not stand
out very much on it. (mind, I have a PC, and I'm partially
color blind, so you may want to hear from someone else
about this one).
Cheers
Andrea

Great to hear! I agree - it really helps it feel more like a GeoServer app.

The width of the main content area is actually based on the users' font-size. I'd played with making it full width while building it out, and it looked even worse at large resolutions. I can add a min-width rule to prevent it from being less than 80% of the screen real estate, but there will still be some cases where the interface looks less than ideal.

I'll chat with Andy about this - we definitely want things to be legible
