I know geoserver.org is on github pages, but I'm not finding the source for
docs.geoserver.org
The download link is different to the other Geoserver sites.
Any suggestions?

Not sure I understand, the docs are generated.
The docs page, index.html, is on the web server (which has limited access). It is described in the release instructions.

Oh... docs.geoserver.org... right, I believe the home page of that site is
static HTML on a Boundless
owned server (or something like that). Each version of the guide published
there is instead generated from the
rst that we have in the geoserver sources (and that Brad is already
familiar with).
