[Geoserver-devel] Spec versions implemented?

Hi,

I've read on the site that WFS 1.0.0 and GML 2.1.2 are supported by
GeoServer. Is that information up-to-date?

I've also read that as of GeoServer 1.3 WCS and WMS will be supported. Which
versions of the specs will that be?

Thanks,

Henrik

Yes. There are no immediate plans to support WFS 1.1/GML 3, but I'm
sure we'll get there eventually (volunteers welcome)

GeoServer 1.3-beta2 (I think) and beyond are fully supporting the WMS
1.1.1 spec, CITE compliant, and we plan to get the official
certification for 1.3.0. It only handles vector data, the WCS and
raster support for the WMS are actually not planned for 1.3, but they
are on a branch, and will be integrated - we will just likely call it
1.4, as it's some major improvements. The WCS version is 1.0.0. It's
not yet fully supported, as it doesn't have time and range (?)
parameters, but those are planned in the next couple months. You can
download the current alpha 0.2, which is line with 1.3 RC1 I believe,
from the download page.

best regards,

Chris

Thanks,

Henrik
