Hi all,
I just added the directories for the sphinx docs to svn for trunk.
I did not simply copy the docs from 1.7.x, you will notice the directories are empty. This was intentional to minimize the maintainence burden.
The docs on 1.7.x are still under quite a bit of flux, so having to do double the changes seems pointless at this juncture. I figure that once we get closer to 2.0 the 1.7.x will have settled down a bit we can start porting them over.
That said, if you want to port a doc to trunk or write a new doc on trunk, go ahead. I kept the root index.rst files from 1.7.x, with the list of includes commented out. So if you want to resurrect a doc:
1. copy it from 1.7.x
2. uncomment the entry for it (or its parent directory) in the root index.rst
If it is a new doc you working on simply update index.rst as appropriate.
