Hi all,
Are all issues in? If so I would like to start the release. The only major issue I still see open is:
GEOS-2496, Move geosearch module to core distribution

Hi,
it's Martin Luther King day in the US, so David may not get this. I can move the geosearch module after I apply one last patch. Trying to parse the emails though, did the REST module get a thumbs up too ?
One other thing:
GeoWebCache 1.0.1 is built against GeoTools 2.5.2. Are you tagging 2.5.3 ? If so, we must be careful that gwc doesn't pull the old stuff in. I don't really see any way around this when we freeze GS before GT, hopefully I can rid GWC of the GT dependency soon.

Hi Justin,
I have finished my tests on the gt-imageio-ext-gdal leveraging on the Imageio-ext 1.0.0 release.
I also have tested geoserver against it.
I have updated the WIKI page of the gt-imageio-ext-gdal module to satisfy the gold star quality assurance check:
http://docs.codehaus.org/display/GEOTOOLS/ImageIO-EXT+GDAL
If people give me the OK, I’ll move the gt-imageio-ext-gdal to supported land (in the plugin module) and close the related JIRA.
Let me know,
Daniele

Ah, right. Ok no problem. As for REST I believe it is good to go as well yes. However, given that it is so close to freeze time I am thinking we should just keep geosearch for an extension for this release. Move it to core for next release.

Right. Well we can tag geotools 2.5.3 right now if you want, there is nothing holding us back on that release. However I thought gt dependencies were excluded from the geowebcache dependency?

Awesome, sounds great Daniele. If you want to do that would be great. Then I can tag 2.5.3 and start the release.
