[Geoserver-devel] Status update April 9th

What am I up to:
- GeoTools 2.6.3 went out; just catching up patches now
- Watching people find their way around GeoServer docs at work

Tasks on my plate
- Hello world patch was submitted; but I have watched three people go through the tutorial and miss the second point (ie how to bundle your own geoserver app)

Impediments:
- Where should the hello world patch be folded into the documentation

I actually took the liberty of committing it:
http://docs.geoserver.org/2.0.x/en/developer/programming-guide/ows-services/index.html

I followed the REST documentation load, where there is an intro (which is still missing for OWS services) and then a simple example.

It is a bit of a pity that the tutorial does not show using kvp readers, parsers and xml readers, but if it did, it would become a monster tutorial.

- going through the jiras with attachments to review and apply
   patches or look into well reported bugs

Tasks on my plate:
- GSS module

Impediments:
- waiting for review on some patches:
