[Geoserver-devel] Stepping down a project officer

Hi All,
due to other commitments the time I can devote to the GeoServer Project Officer role is too limited, therefore I would want to step down.
Anyone who wants to take the lead on this?

As mentioned in meeting, I would be willing to act as project officer, but would encourage other volunteers to step forward. I am already geotools project officer and would be more than happy to “mentor” anyone acting as GeoServer officer.

The duties are very light:

  1. Send email to treasurer on the off chance we spend money
  2. Attend a board meeting (if osgeo wants something, or if we want something from osgeo)
  3. Contact person for other osgeo groups (the board asks for an annual budget, marketing asks for a one-page handout, osgeo live asks for a QuickStart)
  4. Make a slide for the OSGeo AGM
  5. Send an email for OSGeo budget request

In terms of org structure project officer is a “Vice-president, GeoServer”, Idea is to be covered by OSGeo insurance etc…
