Hi all,
So as the subject states it has come time to create the 1.7.x branch and leave trunk open for the new user interface and configuration stuff we plan to do.
So... how i would like to approach this is that all people developing on trunk reply to this email when they are "out of the pool", and have made all the commits they want to get in for 1.7.x. Once that happens i will create the branch.
After the branch is created those who want to remain on the 1.7.x branch as it moves to stable will have to switch their checkout to 1.7.x rather than keeping it on trunk (i have the wps guys in mind here).
