[Geoserver-devel] "This installer is not supported on Windows >> 9x/ME"

May be cross posting on this but can't get to the other post. Have a Windows
2008r2 server that gives the error in the subject. I can see where it gives
it in the code but have no idea why. Is there a work around to installing as
a service on this system? Feeling a little pressure since we upgraded other
components and not can't get Geoserver installed.

We should probably do this on the user list unless you want to dive into the installer code here:

You can always do WAR install into tomcat, a lot of production (even on windows) systems do.
