Justin,
I have added this one which, in my view, is pretty severe as it will impact many WFS 2.0 users (anyone using paging?):
https://jira.codehaus.org/browse/GEOS-5085
The WMS resource exhaustion problem (GEOS-5019) is nasty as well, but unless it is a new regression I don't think it should hold up the beta. Looks like a corner case to me.
Kind regards,
Ben.

Hi folks,
What do people think about putting out another 2.2 beta soon, like this
week or next some time? There have been some good fixes since beta1:

Thanks.

Imho no, it should not, when entering a beta cycle the product is normally feature complete
but known to be buggy:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Software_release_life_cycle#Beta
Right, but thought I should ask since if i recall correctly (although I don’t have any example off hand and i am not going to go digging through the archives) we have decided to postpone releases due to key issues we wanted to fix. . Just wondering if this is one of those types of issues.
Btw, we should re-enable the CITE tests builds for trunk
Right. Like a bad dream i had forgotten about them.
Cheers

Hmm… it’s annoying indeed, though we used that transformation quite a bit without
seeing the ill effects the user is reporting.
At the same time, the issue shows up only if the WPS extension is added into the mix,
which is not core yet for good reasons (lack of service limits, impossibility to control
the list of processes exposed to the final user).
I did not touch the priority of the jira, but I’d say that while the issue might be critical for
the user it does not seem critical to the GeoServer project as a whole.
That said, next weekend I’ll try to have a look at it

I opened another issue the security system has to fix.
https://jira.codehaus.org/browse/GEOS-5101
I would like to get this into beta 2 since it is the last major issue I am aware of (there are other issues too, but not so important). I would like to solve this at weekend.
Opinions ?

Ok, although if it goes past the weekend we may want to consider releasing a beta without it. I also made some comments about how to implement the prefixed role system. Basically I would like us to remain totally backward compatible and still support non-prefixed roles.
Anyways, if others are ok with release next week that work for me. It gives me time this week to work on getting cite tests passing again.
