[Geoserver-devel] two config project when importing into eclipse

Hi everyone.

Im going through the eclipse quick start doc, and im busy importing geoserver into eclipse, and there are two projects that show up as “config”. Wouldn’t that cause errors in eclipse? Which is which? Thanks

Regards,

Gerhard Goosen

It seems that the config that is listed first, was generated somehow? Its not under subversion…

The config plugin moved from config to maven/config. But you still had .preject and .classpath files in the old config directory so subversion didn't remove the directory and files when you updated.

You can safely remove the old config directory and it should be fine.

Hi everyone.

I am trying to run mvn jetty6:run from eclipse, following the instructions in the http://docs.codehaus.org/display/GEOSDEV/3+Eclipse+Quickstarts doc, but I get this error, when executing the external tool.

FATAL ERROR in native method: No transports initialized

Transport dt_socket failed to initialize, rc = 509.

Any help will be appreciated thanks,

Hi Gerhard,

I spent some time looking at this and it appears that the way we have been doing this is pretty unstable. It works for me on linux pretty well. However on windows it appears to work half of the time. Who knows...

I have come up with another solution I think works nicer. Its basically the same thing but not running through an external program, just running maven directly with java.

I will reopen the jira issue.
