Hi,
GS 2.5 beta seems to come with EPSG database version 7.0 from August, 2011. The latest one is 8.3 from November 2013 and there has been 4 versions in between. Have we considered updating?

Too busy to even consider it these days (and too late for 2.5 anyways)
It would be nice though, but it's not trivial, it's not just updating the
database,
EPSG changes the meaning of some projection params during the upgrades,
so one also has to go though the release notes, check what changed,
and updated the code. So not something that can be done during a feature
freeze
