These both implement some for of user/group control - while I think Niels sorted out a compromise I want to make sure we understand what is going on.
The conversation is a little muddled due to difference in library (restlet vs spring rest). Niels perhaps we can put together a proposal on the use of spring rest.
I asked about this on the list though, and Christian said he wasn't implementing any user/group control.
I can't see anything about that in the proposal either.

I guess the last bit is Andrea’s concern about us switching rest library.
The larger concern with the rest implementation are not the rest library, but the logic that has been added to the rest resources … rather than pushed into the catalog.
