[Geoserver-devel] WebGIS based on GeoServer?

Hello,

I am new to GeoServer and i’m planning to develop a WebGIS application based on GeoServer. I want to know if anybody have done this. If so, where can I find it? If not, is develop WebGIS applications based on GeoServer is a stupid idea?

There are at least two webclients
http://www.inovagis.org/quickwms/
http://giserver.esrin.esa.int/quickwms/ which is the newer version I guess

or search at freegis.org

We are currently building an Open Web Services client which will be
extensible (udig.refractions.net). Feel free to both try it out, and
contact our project lead (Jody Garnett) if you want to help out / add an
extension.
