[Geoserver-devel] where is doc re pointing geoserver at shapefiles?

I have census block data for one U.S. state (100M shp
file, 160M dbf file) and the file is imported into
current GRASS fine but shp2pgsql generates output that
fails to load into postgis. I have an email to the
postgis user list re shp2pgsql, but would like to
move forward and get the map set up in geoserver.

Where would I find doc how to do this?

Thanks,
Heitzso

Sorry for the late reply, but I noticed on the postgis list that you got
shp2pgsql working, so I assumed that this was no longer as pressing. The
documentation for using shapefile as the datasource for geoserver is at
http://geoserver.sourceforge.net/documentation/user/advanced.htm, about
half way down the page - under Shapefile Support. But with a 100MB
shapefile, I'd _highly_ recommend importing to postgis, as it will
definitely be faster.

best regards,
