for the issue.

Pull requset for master

Hi, the patch was improved and merged by Andrea Aime. Could you consider
backport this feature to 2.3.x?

Thanks

The timing is OK as we are not yet two weeks out. Might benefit from more time on master, but the change is small.

I put "Proposal: Backport: " in the title to attract PSC attention.

Kind regards,
Ben.

I'd say +1, the patch is rather small, seems innocuous aside from some
formatting issues (which I've just
noticed, not sure where they are coming from):

It seem that did not work, but in the meantime, the patch has been on trunk
for over a month and a half
with no complains.
So this morning I took the time to port it back to 2.3.x

Cheers
