[Geoserver-users] Adding a new field to PostGIS DB?

Hello List,

I’ve got Geoserver 2.8.3 serving from a PostGIS DB, no issues.
I’ve added a new field/column to an existing table in PgSQL.
I thought that new field would just show up in GeoServer… but I’m not seeing it there.
I’ve also deleted the Layer in GeoServer and re-published it… and it’s still not seeing the new field from the DB.

Is there something special that I need to do to make the new field “known” to GeoServer?

Ciao john,
in the layer config there is a "reload feature type" button to do
reload the table config from the database.

Thanks Simone,
I had seen that, and tried it… it worked now… but only after I had updated the new field to have some data/values in it. Initially, the field was empty for all records.
Not sure why that would have any effect, but it seems to have.
