[Geoserver-users] Adding addional DataStores

I wish to use Geoserver as my WMS. But my data is in formats not supported.
What is the fastest and easiest way to add support for my data types, to be returned in maps from geoserver ?

Thanks;
Jay Kahler

I have been successful writing datastore plugins for geotools. They work quite well. David

What format are you looking to use? GeoTools is the library we use for our data access, so you just write a DataStore in there, as David points out. You can dig into the gt library to see if anyone has started on the format you want, and if not just start your own. You are of course encouraged to contribute back your datastore plugins, so that others might help out and improve them and fix bugs with them, but are by no means required to.

best regards,

Chris
