[Geoserver-users] Animation

Hi!

A would like to use animation. The ouput fotmat is Image/gif. But the gif is not transparent. Can anybody help me?

Hi Endre,
Could you be a bit clearer. What gif isn’t transparent? Input or output?
Although I see no reference to transparency - http://docs.geoserver.org/stable/en/user/tutorials/animreflector.html - so don’t know if it’s supported. Maybe someone else on the list knows.

Ciao,
GIF animated can be transparent if the images they are composed by are transparent.

GIF supports the so called bitmask transparency, so images are either transparent or opaque.
Translucency is not supported.
