Hi all,
I’m using arcsde 9.1 and geoserver 1.6.4 .
I’ve installed the plugins properly(linux drivers), so I can create a datastore and featuretypes.
The problem ioccurs when I restart tomcat, most of the times (90%) GS can’t reach the datastore, so I have to try again.
Arcsde works “properly” (I mean I can connect with arcmap).
I’ve read posts and the GS’s pages and there is no mainteinance for Arcsde9.1 (I know opensource limits), so what can I do?
Note: I’ve tried GS1.53, GS1.6.4 over tomcat 5.5.25 and tomcat 6.0.16 over java 5 and java 6 (8 combinations) and happens the same in all of them.
Best regards,
Paddy

a couple things:
- try out the latest nightly
<http://gridlock.openplans.org/geoserver/1.6.x/geoserver-1.6.x-latest-bin.zip>\.
It contains a lot of arcsde improvements not present in 1.6.4.
- set the logging level to VERBOSE in the geosever server configuration and
send back the geoserver.log file under <GEOSERVER_DATA_DIR>/logs so I can
assess what's going on.
- Are you using the arcsde 9.1 or 9.2 java api jars?

a couple things:

btw, that means using the latest nightly for the arcsde extension too:
<http://gridlock.openplans.org/geoserver/1.6.x/ext-latest/geoserver-1.6.0-arcsde-plugin.zip>
(yes, the version numbering seems odd but the creation date is ok)
ip>. It contains a lot of arcsde improvements not present in 1.6.4.

Hi,
we have proceed as you said:
We are using arcsde9.1.
I worked correctly 10 times, till it broke down at the 11th and next.
It says our datastore is disabled, but the service is working and we can connect through arcims.
We don’t know what the problem can be, wheter geoserver or arcsde’s.
Attached is geoserver’s log in verbose mode.
Thank you in advance.
Paddy
