Many open source project developers are employees (or consultants) and have a little bit of time to answer questions on public email lists. Direct one-on-one communication is usually arranged as a support contract.

No trouble!

The normal GeoServer install includes a GeoTIFF example (the sfdem file).

Note:

  • Tiff that includes spatial bounds in the header = geotiff file format
  • Tiff file with a PRJ file = world image file format
