[Geoserver-users] Border problem during projecting raster data

Hi,

Do you have any idea when the border problem that occurs when transforming
raster images (tif) into the EPSG:3857 will be solved.
With version 2.3.0 there problem is still there.

Attached you can see a screenshot showing the problem.

The border problems we were aware of have been fixed in 2.3.0, this one seems different.

Please share the dataset, the style and a request to reproduce it in jira.codehaus.org

Hi Andrea,

I am 100% sure about the used version. BTW I will provide the dataset together with the style and the request.

Cheers

Hi Andrea,

before opening an issue I wanted to tell you that on the master branch the border problem does not occur anymore.
Should I open anyway an issue on JIRA?

cheers

That is weird… I’m not aware of significant changes in raster reprojection that only landed on trunk.
Simone, are you aware of any?

I guess this is a mosaic and we are actively improving the mosaic
plugin on trunk, hence, there might be slight differences.
Btw, does this problem occur on 2.2.x?

I guess the best thing is to create a jira with some sample data as
you suggested.

Exactly, it is mosaic.

The problem occurred as well on 2.2.4 and 2.2.5.
Do you thing to include this fixes in next release?

cheers Markus

Hey,
I just upgraded to GeoServer 2.3.0 and I'm still facing the border issue.
I'm using a raster in 4326 that has been reprojected to 900913. It's not a
mosaic.
<http://osgeo-org.1560.n6.nabble.com/file/n5044013/Screen_Shot_2013-04-02_at_10.54.03.png>
Is this the problem you are referring to?

Thanks for your help.
Bye

Paolo

This result is weird, it's not a mosaic, and you're getting black lines in
the middle of the imagery?
Strange indeed.
Can you open an issue on jira and attach data, styles, and a request to
reproduce it?

Cheers
