[Geoserver-users] Can geoserver use tiles generated by mapnick

Hi all,
I have succeeded to generate tiles of my country in different zoom using the graet mapnick.
My question is: is geoserver able to serve the tiles generated by mapnick to have a slippy map of my country
If yes, can you give any link to help me to do this task, i will be very grateful
Thanks.

Hi,

I don't know if it is possible, but with GeoServer you have GeoWebCache.
The tiles are generated by GeoWebCache and served by GeoServer.
The tiles folders structure between GeoWebCache and Mapnik is maybe the
same.

Opposite, generated by GeoServer and served by GeoWebCache

You can stick GeoWebCache in front of Mapnik, but it really depends what you are trying to do. In general, GeoServer does not support WMS cascading.
