[Geoserver-users] Change wms-GetCapability reply from vnd.ogc.wms_xml to text/xml

Hi all,
i'm trying to test geoserver in a SOA environment. But the SOA-engine
quits when getting a vnd.ogc.wms_xml reply from geoserver. Its the
same problem if i do the request in a browser and the browser tells me
he doesn't know this ending and i have to choose an application to
open this document. The question now is: how can i change the format
of the get capabilities reply from vnd.ogc.wms_xml to text/xml?

regards
Albrecht

Right now you'll have to hack the code. I can point you were the change should take place. The better solution is to very partially implement WMS 1.3, as they finally fixed the problem there. Or we could just make some admin or kvp choice to return text/xml instead of the weird ogc thing.
