Hi all.
Geoserver somehow does not take into account the changes made into the .xml file that the config.xml file points at. I have even tryed deleting the file (map.xml) and it still loads the map. I have even restarted the server as well as the computer and there was still the same effect. The strange thing is that on friday it was working properly and it didnt even require a restart on the server when changes made on that file. On the other hand changes made on the config.xml are working properly. Both files are on the same directory. Any ideas on what might be wrong?
Regards
GK

The only workarond I found on this is to create a new .xml file and change the pointer of the config file to it. The changes I do to the new map.xml work fine with just a refresh on the page.

map.xml? I'm pretty sure GeoServer doesn't have any config files by that name? There is services.xml and catalog.xml, along with a number of info.xml files. I think maybe an old version had config.xml? What version of geoServer are you using?
Or are you talking about the embedded mapbuilder files (the gui to navigate maps)? If you want to modify mapbuilder then we recommend downloading the latest version from http://mapbuilder.codehaus.org and following their configuration instructions there. We only include mapbuilder as a demo, if you want to set up your own you should run it in its own .war file.
Also, the thing that may be getting you is the browser side cache, you should do a full reload of files from your browser whenever you change it.
