Hi, someone try geoserver with C-JDBC (http://c-jdbc.objectweb.org/) or HA-JDBC (http://ha-jdbc.sourceforge.net/) ??

Nope. We usually make it so that the map is served fast enough using a
single machine.
Anyways, if you need your app to scale and be stable, clustering both
GeoServer and the dbms is a good idea. Some users already did it, I
hope they'll pop up and share their experience.
