[Geoserver-users] CSV Output Format from WPS

Hi,

I have been doing some research into a WPS that can return a SimpleFeatureCollection as text/csv. I found several email chains from previous discussions that reference CSV, but nothing definitive about whether setting the outputformat mimetype to text/csv should work. I tried with a simple test and it failed, so I assume it does not, but wanted confirmation this is the case to ensure I wasn’t doing something incorrect.

Thanks,

I was thinking about this the other day and I think there is a need for a CSVPiPO class somewhere in GeoServer (or may be GeoTools). I keep meaning to dig further but other things come up.

Right, I also checked and I don't see one. Just check the inheritance
hierachy of ComplexPPIO.
Building one off the WFS output format should be easy though.

Cheers

There is a basic implementation (with no tests) at https://github.com/ianturton/geoserver/tree/cvspipo - I’ll try to finish it when I’m stuck on the train later this week
