Hey guys,
I'm completely new to Geoserver and I ran into the following problem.
We want to save our Metadata in a fully different way than we're able to due
to given templates. We need fields like "data path of shape" or "projection
type" or "max scale" etc. which don't exist. So my question is: Is there any
way to insert fields with customized labels? I tried editing a given
template by inserting simple code like <projection type> </projetion type>
hoping it would just add a line with a string "projection type" and a field
behind it, which could be filled like "wsg84", but that didn't work
surprisingly 
Seems like a template can only be filled with
specifications of a corresponding namespace, huh? Help, please!
