[Geoserver-users] data directory coverages directory, mandatory or not?

Hi,

Aiming at the cleanest and lightest data directory possible, I wonder if I can delete the coverages directory and its content in my geoserver data directory?

Before importing all my workspaces and layers, I first deleted all the demo workspaces and their layers, so the data inside
arc_sample
img_sample
mosaic_sample
sfdem_sfdem
should no more be used.

You can remove anything you are not using; you can even start geoserver up with an completely empty GEOSERVER_DATA_DIRECTORY and it will create what is needed as you go.
