Hi,
I have a requirement to provide a Day/Night Shading WMS layer to our Map
application. After doing some quick search on the internet, I found out
that there are software packages such as Openmap, LunaServ, etc. that can
provide this feature. We use GeoServer as our WMS server and could not find
any information how I can do this with it. I appreciate someone can tell
whether I can do this with GeoServer. If so, please give me a high level
description of how it can be done.
Many thanks in advance.
Regards,
Tam

We don't have this functionality in GeoServer, but conceivably, it could be
added
with some effort creating a data store that serves the current night
polygon,
or a rendering transformation that actually ignores the input data and just
builds the night polygon
Both approaches requires some programming
Cheers
