[Geoserver-users] Define an offset for a line (SLD)

Hi, I need to define in an sld a rule that draws a line with an offset from
"his center"

Example:
(the line as described by the geometry property):
-----------------------------

^

|

offset

|

^
(WHERE i want to draw the line):
-----------------------------

Is possible? How?

Not possible at the moment. We are discussing the possibility in
geotools-devel (since it's a rendering issue) these days, but
some developers do not want it because it would require a
non SLD compliant extension (see "geometry transformations" in
GeoTools-devel).
Also, it's all on spare time, we have no direct funding for this,
so I don't know if/when this feature will be available.

Cheers
Andrea
