[Geoserver-users] Defining Field alias?

Hello all,
Is it possible to define aliases for fields name, for example if have a dataset that has an attribute “SURF”, I define an alias “Surface”, that will be displayed for the wms/wfs, when querying/displaying.

Is it possible to do so?

Nope. Hopefully the complex feature works includes also the ability
to rename fields, so GeoServer 2.0 should have some abilities
in that direction (but doing so will make the feature type read
only).
