[Geoserver-users] Distorted images in raster Layer Group

Hi,

I have several raster-layers with topo-data of different scales that I am bundeling within a Layer Group. Via SLDs Layers get shown/hidden using Min/MaxScaleDenominators. I have used this technique for years but somehow now the images within the Layer Group are distorted while the individual Layers look ok.

Layer Group: http://tinyurl.com/m96ctmz

I tried various knobs: PNG options, using JPEG, interpolations, opaque but to no avail.

Context: GeoServer 2.6.1 on Ubuntu 13.10, Oracle Java 1.7.0_65-b17 64bit, Native JAI/ImageIO, interpolation bilinear, PNGJ, Layers: Image Mosaic from JPEG-encoded GeoTIFFs. SLDs: http://tinyurl.com/on243wu.

I suspect an issue with transparency for the Layer Group. Thanks for any hints or help.

Best,

Hi,

Solved! Got the same effect when stacking 2 layers. Made me thinking..so tweaked transparency settings.

By setting InputTransparentColor and OutputTransparentColor to FFFFFF for each Layer the Layer Group is now sharp again!

best,

Just
