I am a newbie, has anyone used DMSG Fusion as a front end to Geoserver, if so how would I do that. I have Geoserver running in Tomcat.

I have not heard of anyone using GeoServer with Fusion. Afaik it's fairly tied to Map Guide, though I think they've got it working decently with MapServer, which points to the potential to use with GeoServer. Though the web toolkits for mapserver in the past haven't been built in a real standards oriented way, so I'm not sure if this one is either. And of course many operations can't be done in a standards-based way. So it may involve replacing a decent bit of code, but it sounds like the abstraction layer to do it may already be there.
Out of curiosity what features do you really like about Fusion? We're going to likely be putting some energy in to a standards based thing that works with GeoServer, built on Ext.js and OpenLayers.
best regards,
Chris
