[Geoserver-users] Drupal installation failed because logging into GeoServer failed

Hello Community,

I want to use GeoServer 2.4.1 as OWS provider for OpenLayers in Drupal. I try to install Drupal7 with XAMPP, PostgreSQL/PostGIS, GeoServer inclusive the respective Drupal modules.
Almost everything went fine (GeoServer configuration, no errors in GeoServer, PostgreSQL filling) but Drupal can’t transfer the User credentials (Log in, pw) to GeoServer.
Drupal Error: ‘GeoServer login failed: Wrong user credentials. Please check the GeoServer URL and your site maintenance account.’ Site maintenance account and GeoServer URL are correct. During Installation process GeoServer has to accept any user credentials and GeoServer has to use them in his authentication processes.

Enquiries for days on end in the drupal.org community issue posts yield no evidence.

Please take a small foretaste of the GeoServer Log file:

// In Drupal SITE MAINTANANCE ACCOUNT I want to log in as admin with pw: ‘test’ and in GeoServer I was logged in as root, pw: ‘geoserver’

Installation attempts 30.10.2013 09:35, 09:36 & 9:38 :
2013-10-30 09:35:06,220 INFO [geoserver.security] - Drupal user tries to log in: pw:

GeoServer Security/Authentication: The added Authentication Provider ‘inak’ (workspacename) was pushed to ‘Selected’ and ‘default’ was moved to ‘Available’ in the ‘Provider Chain’.

In the attachment you can find more log files.

Kind regards and thanks for your time.

Toni

This module is not part of GeoServer, do you know who built it and where it
is maintained?
You should probably contact them, and maybe suggest to keep and maintain
the module in the GeoServer source
tree (best way to make sure the module keeps on working with newer versions
of GeoServer)

Cheers
