[Geoserver-users] Error in Projection: No transform

Hello,

I am having an issue with visualizing a raster dataset using the dataset projection tool. I have added the modis projection definition to my epsg.properties file

68420=PROJCS[“MODIS Sinusoidal”, GEOGCS[“WGS 84”, DATUM[“WGS_1984”, SPHEROID[“WGS 84”,6378137,298.257223563, AUTHORITY[“EPSG”,“7030”]], AUTHORITY[“EPSG”,“6326”]], PRIMEM[“Greenwich”,0, AUTHORITY[“EPSG”,“8901”]], UNIT[“degree”,0.01745329251994328, AUTHORITY[“EPSG”,“9122”]], AUTHORITY[“EPSG”,“4326”]], PROJECTION[“Sinusoidal”], PARAMETER[“false_easting”,0.0], PARAMETER[“false_northing”,0.0], PARAMETER[“central_meridian”,0.0],PARAMETER[“semi_major”,6371007.181], PARAMETER[“semi_minor”,6371007.181], UNIT[“m”,1.0], AUTHORITY[“SR-ORG”,“6974”]]

I restarted geoserver and I can select it from the list and the spatial reference has also been added to my postgresql database table (spatial_ref_sys). I have found my user defined projection (68420) in the web_app and when I choose it I receive this error.

Caused by: java.text.ParseException: Error in “PROJECTION”: No transform for classification “Sinusoidal”.

How/where do I define the Transformation
– previous thread here had no solution

The sinusoidal projection support has been added quite recently in the development series only, it will be available
in the 2.8.0 series to be released September 2015.

If you want to try it now, you can ither download a nightly build here:
http://ares.boundlessgeo.com/geoserver/master/

or try out the now slightly outdated M0 release:
