[Geoserver-users] Error saving through WSF-T

Hi List.

I have a problem with saving modified feature from OpenLayers. GeoServer returns error “A transformation exception occurred while reprojecting data on the fly”. Reprojection policy is set to “Reproject native to declared”. If i set it to “Keep native”, changes are saved without any errors. Is there a way to save edited features with server’s reprojection?

I've tried different projections and settings on the client without any
success.
To be sure i rechecked this behavior in Quantum GIS. I can see the same
error there.
It seems to be a bug in geoserver reprojecting.

It could be, or the reprojection you're asking for is impossible to make
(projections
have a limited area of validity in which their math makes sense, out of it
they fail).

If you want you can open a bug report at jira.codehaus.org, adding a sample
of
the data you loaded, the configuration of your layer, and the WFS
transaction
you're sending to GeoServer, so that others can reproduce the problem.

Cheers
Andrea

Hi,

It may be worth reporting it to jira then.
