[Geoserver-users] Fail to load from war file - java.lang.NoClassDefFoundError: org/geotools/data/DataStoreFactorySpi

Hi.

I had a working geoserver installation which I haven't looked at for a
couple of weeks. I went to log in this morning and couldn't. I have removed
the geoserver directory, reloaded the war file and restarted tomcat but even
with a brand new geoserver installation I get the same problem. I haven't
changed any profile settings although it is a hosted server so the hosts may
have done.

Can anyone give me any ideas what would cause this problem?

The web app classpath is broken. Why, I don't know... maybe you have to
clean up the working directory as well, if you can. Or re-install the
container...
