Dear all ;
I have been devoloping a plug in for geoserver. I have come across a problem. Once i successfully build the plugin and copy it to WEB-INF folder and start the server it wont work. The command prompt fills with exceptions jumoing and says the server is started. But it cant be viewer in the brower. Even the funtion of the plugin does not show up. I get the error 503.
The problem is have followed the steps denoted at http://geoserver.org/display/GEOSDOC/3+A+Simple+PlugIn but it has so far failed. I tried plug in codes from simple helloworld to much complex codings. But nothing gives a solution.
Can some one please guide me to fix this as im stuck here for some time
thanking you

Hi,
My guess is that there could be an issue with the applicationContext.xml file of your plugin that is causing geoserver to fail on startup. Could you include the startup log, that should give us some indication.
Thanks,
-Justin

dear all ;
I have attached the log file. It is written when the geo server is starting.
Actually i went through the log file and found out the problem is with the class name in the actual project and the applicationcontext.xml does not match. Once i edited that and recompile the pulgin started working.
Thank you
Best regards

There is no easy way we can help without looking into your code and testing it out. The possible reasons for a malfunctions are just too
many to guess
