[Geoserver-users] Geoserver 1.7.2 and image pyramids

I'm exploring the use of Geoserver to display image data and am trying to
follow the tutorial at:
http://geoserver.org/display/GEOSDOC/Load+NASA+Blue+Marble+Data

I'm doing OK until the instructions say to "Select Image Pyramidal Plugin",
but Geoserver 1.7.2 does not appear to have a Image Pyramidal plugin.

I notice the webapps/geoserver/WEB-INF/lib directory has
gt-imagemosaic-2.5.3.jar but there is no gt-imagepyramid*

I have a copy of geotools which does have gt-imagepyramid-2.5-SNAPSHOT.jar

What do I have to do to enable the Image Pyramidal plugin in Geoserver 1.7.2?

Regards
Gordon

Hi Gordon,

The plugin is available as a downloadable extension. If you visit:

http://geoserver.org/display/GEOS/Stable

Scroll down to "Extensions", you should find Image Pyramid under "Coveragestore".
