Hi,

I have installed GeoServer 1.7.2 and want to expiment with SQL data access to see it the software will integrate into our existing data.
The datastore appears and will connect (as long as the databasename is not specified)
Yes, i believe this is an error with how the connection is established.
I have the user in SQL configured with the spatial database (spat) as the default database.
I wasn't sure if GEOMETRY_COLUMNS and SPATIAL_REF_SYS were required or not, but I have created them and I believe the data is correct in them.
They are not required no. As far as i know SQL Server does not have any notion of these tables, so the driver does not use them.
How does one create a featureset with the data from SQL 2008. When trying to create a new featureset, there are no items from the SQL datastore.
So you have some spatial tables in the database that are not being picked up when you try to create a new feature type? Or you want to create a new table all together?
Thanks
