[Geoserver-users] GeoServer 2.3.0 Error computing the geographic bounds:transform error

Hi,

Looks like GeoServer in 2.3 version does not compute Lat/Lon Bounding Box if SRID for PostGIS table is -1 (not defined). Even if in New layer publishing menu I define „Declared SRS“ and try to „Compute from native bounds“ the error apears: „Error computing the geographic bounds:transform error“

In 2.3 beta – the same problem.

2.2 version was able to compute.

If in Postgis geometry_column SRID is defined – GeoServer calculates Lat/Lon Bounding Box.

I don‘t know if it is a bug or change of funcionality, but it is inconvenience.

Please open a bug report on jira.codehaus.org.
It’s infortunate to discover these once the final release is out, but unfortunately it seems few people check
to the betas or the RCs
